Bucaneers Run Race - Bournemouth

It was a Performance Cycling Club cleanup as they captured all the top prizes at the last Buccaneers' Run Road Race Series. This is how it unfolded...

The race started off very fast (it has become the norm now) and Horace McFarlane got an early lead of 40 seconds on the 1st lap. Normally, it would be expected that he would be swallowed in by lap two, but Oneil made a fantastic move that caught everyone by surprise and rode across to Horace.

The two National riders were a force to reckon with, as they opened the lead to 1 min and 40 seconds by the middle of the second lap over the peloton. It was Dean Martin who attacked the group, with Martin Dennis and Richard Bowen going with him. This group built a small lead over the main group, but did not manage to get close to the leaders.

At the end, Horace edged Oneil in the sprint and Dean Martin sprinted for 3rd. with Martin Dennis safely in 4th. A clean 1 to 4 finish for the May Pen based club.

OFFICIAL RESULTS:
1. Horace McFarlane
2. Oniel Samuels
3. Dean Martin
4. Martin Dennis

It will be very interesting to watch this team in the upcoming National Series as they will battle for championship titles as they only won one, the criterium Championships last year, and the defending champions are ready for them. See you there for the NAIL BITING ACTION!!!!
