On the first day of track racing, the first event, the Keirin, Ricardo was unfortunate to have been involved in a crash with two other cyclists from Trinidad and Costa Rica. He was okay, just some bruises, but his wheel and fork were damaged. The Trinidad cyclist broke his hand.

22 MILE 3 MAN TEAM TIME TRIAL

Even though only Fifteen (15) Cyclists competed in the event, it was a very competitive and exciting event. The teams were mainly comprised of category 1 riders, with only Cutter's as a category 3 team.
