| GOD PEE Memorial Press Launch |
April 19, 2010 |
The organizers of the annual God Pee memorial have made a bold and innovative step by partnering with Mineral Heights Community and Parish council to host the Mineral Heights Sports and Cycling Extravaganza, presented at the press launch on April 17.
The alliance is the brainchild of Dave Brisset and His Worship, Mayor Milton Brown. The 6th year of the cycling classic will be complemented with football, basketball and a host of other sporting activities geared towards pulling the entire community and Parish of Clarendon to the newly launched sport facility. At a press briefing, the Jamaica Cycling Federation president, Vaughn Phang, congratulated the stakeholders on their initiative and promised support, with special emphasis on the youth cycling events, committing a bicycle as a prize for the winner of the youth race in the age group 10-14 years.
Also present at the launch was the Mineral Heights Citizens Association, the Parish Council, Clarendon Football Executives, the SDC, Sponsors and CVM TV
